Looks like financially beleaguered Ed McMahon will have a new landlord: Donald Trump.
The tycoon says he will save the veteran television personality's Beverly Hills mansion from foreclosure by buying it - and leasing it back to the octogenarian.
Trump, who does not know McMahon personally, said it "would be an honor" to help out the man who spent three decades as Johnny Carson's sidekick on The Tonight Show. "When I was at the Wharton School of Business I'd watch him every night."
McMahon, 85, bought the six-bedroom house in January 1990. Down from a peak price of $7 million, the property was listed at a bargain $4.6 million last weekend, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Paperwork on the sale has not been completed, but McMahon was "very optimistic" the deal would go through, his spokesman told the Associated Press.
...Well YEAH for the Donald and for Ed too! AT least now we can stop talking about this.

Christian Bale will not be charged over claims of assault following a July 20 London disagreement with his mother and sister, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Prosecutors at England's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have reviewed the case and determined it is not in the public interest nor is there sufficient evidence to gain a conviction.
"On the advice of the CPS we shall be taking no further action," a Metropolitan Police spokesman tells PEOPLE. "We will not be commenting further."
Law Firm's Statement
Confirming the police information, the legal firm of Schillings said in a statement, "Mr. Bale's spokesperson Jennifer Allen said that Mr. Bale, who always denied the allegations made against him, is relieved that this issue has been resolved and hopes to put the matter firmly behind him."
The firm noted, "Contrary to various press reports Mr. Bale has not been cautioned or charged at all."
Schillings added, "At this this time there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."
Statement from Authorities
The CPS also released a statement Thursday about the case.
"We can today confirm that we have advised the Metropolitan Police Service that the actor Christian Bale should not face any charges following an incident which occurred in relation to his mother and sister at the Dorchester hotel on 21 July this year," the CPS said.
"Whilst the CPS treats all incidents which take place in a domestic context seriously, it is important that the views of complainants are also taken into account when making decisions in such cases."
"Taking all the factors into consideration, the decision has been taken that there is insufficient evidence to afford a realistic prospect of conviction, and accordingly the police have been advised that no further action should be taken against Mr. Bale."
Pre-Arranged Police Meeting
The incident allegedly took place inside Bale's suite in London's Dorchester hotel a day prior to the U.K. premiere of The Dark Knight. Bale attended the movie's events then reported for a pre-arranged meeting at Belgravia police station the following day. He was arrested and questioned, then released later the same day.
Bale denied the assault allegations made against him in a statement released by his attorneys. A few days later, Bale called it a deeply personal matter.
...And here's hoping his family keeps the drama a private affair.
Madonna's rep denies adoption rumors! From USWeekly...
A report that Madonna is adopting a three-year-old girl, Mercy James, from Malawi is not true, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
"Madonna has not made an attempt to adopt this baby earlier this year or now," Liz Rosenberg tells Us.
Rosenberg also confirmed to Us what she told CelebTV.com: "There is no truth to this rumor. It's an old one - wasn't true then or now. Madonna is starting her tour in a week."
(Madonna's rep initially denied reports she was adopting David Banda, 2, also from Malawi.)
Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe had told Britain's Sun: "Madonna's representatives have been visiting the girl. The adoption is now advanced - all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities.
"Then Mercy will be able to leave the country for a new life," he added.
The Sun claimed the singer, 49, had been pursuing Mercy James for a year but stopped proceedings when her marriage to Guy Ritchie grew rocky.
(Us Weekly first reported Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez had been making late night visits to Madonna's NYC apartment . His wife, Cynthia, later blamed the singer for "brainwashing" him, and destroying their marriage. Both Madonna and Ritchie, 39, also visited divorce lawyers.)
One of Madonna's pals told the Sun that she "fell in love" with Mercy after meeting her in an orphanage last year. The paper also reports that Malawian officials approved the adoption last August, but stopped proceedings after her uncle, John Nglanade, 36, blocked the adoption.
"Twice I have told the adoption people that I do not want Mercy to go outside the country," added her grandmother, Lucy Chekechiwa.
Chekechiwa, who lives in the Zomba District of the country, calls her granddaughter "such a beautiful, happy child."
Madonna's adoption of David Banda was approved by the country's courts in May after a two-year battle.
Madonna found David at the orphanage through her Raising Malawi charity. But there was no family strife in this adoption.
"I gave Madonna 100% rights for my son," his father, Yohane Banda, told Us earlier this week. "He is her son. It's because of her benovent nature that he assured me she will not cut ties with me."
Banda's grandmother, Asineti Mwale, 60, died of pneumonia August 10, Banda confirmed to Us. In her last interview last month when Yohane Banda's new wife, Flora, gave birth to another son, Mwale said: "I wish David would come to see me before I die. I hope he will one day come to see his brother."
...Sounds like terrible timing with the tour and all...but I'm all for a child finding a loving home. And if that child can find a home with Madonna...who would fight that?

hey everyone.. i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. so, here's the visual... me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me... one of them being, "Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my response simply was, "Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!" i was caught out of nowhere so i didn't really come up with the proper response at the time.. there's many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money! All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body. i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you're not even fully developed yet! It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye... i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person. in a more positive light... i got some great clothes from alexander wang and i miss samantha cuz she's out of town :( have a wonderful day everyone~ til next time.. xx LL

She skipped right past them She could easily pass for 20. Com eon Dina... slow this girl down. She's going to end up just like Lindsay or worse.
