Anyone Need Any Work Done At their Home?

Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 08:36 PM EST [General]

My husband Doug has owned his own Handyman/Fence/Decorative Concrete business for over twenty years. This is the first time in all those years that he is so slow, that we are starting to hurt financially.... Things are bad out there and I guess people just don't have the money to do anything extra to their homes.

So, here goes nothing... My husband does tile, drywall, painting, fencing and beautiful concrete overlays. He is very dedicated, honest and will work on your home as if it was his own. If you know of anyone that is looking for work to be completed, please have them get in touch with my husband. He can be reached by email at dkhomeservices@yahoo.com or on his cell phone 386-747-9611. He travels all over central Florida. He is licensed and insured.

We would be most grateful if you and anyone you know would give him a call for free estimate!   He has people that can give you referrals on his work and he has pictures of his fence and concrete work!

    Thanks for reading!!

    Diet

Saturday, July 12, 2008, 05:20 PM EST [General]

Well, have been working on my diet to get in shape for the cruise. I have been working out at Plant Fitness since October but have not really been able to stick to a diet all that well. Lost 3 lbs this week, however I really want to loose 25-30 lbs. People don't believe I need to loose that much but because I am tall I carry my weight well.

It hasn't been much of a problem staying on my diet but now that the weekend is here I am having some trouble. I like to have a few drinks on the weekends but they are such wasted calories. Its hard not drinking when everyone else around you is enjoying a cold one!

I know one what do me a lot of harm, but can I stick with just one drink?  Anyone got any good tips on staying faithful on your diet over the weekends. I guess I can just stay home and play guitar hero. That will keep my hands busy and not putting food and drinks to my lips.

Write me if you have any great advise or encouragement for me to hang tough!  I know I will feel much better about being in my bathing suit on the cruise if I can just stick it out!

    See ya :)

    Is it Friday yet?

Tuesday, April 8, 2008, 07:15 PM EST [General]

Did you ever have one of those weeks when you just couldn't wait for Friday. Not because you had something exciting happening on the weekend but just because you could take your job another day. Well, this is one of those weeks for me. Monday felt like three days wrapped in one.

Well, at least tomorrow is Wednesday and hopefully the rest of the week will go by quicker ! I hate to wish the days away , however sometimes this is the only way that I can get through the week. Hopefully, next week will be better...

Hey Karen: Im going on the cruise also and trying to get fit before Sept 18th. Just like you, Im good all week. Then there is the weekend. If I know Im going to drink, I try to be extra good throughout the day. In addition, I also started drinking light beer. It really makes a difference. 3 light beers is equivalent to 2 regular beers. Good Luck!
