is looking forward to spending the weekend on the boat and at the beach!
Ok... so my daughter and a co-worker of mine are addicted to this series by Stephanie Meyers. The first book is Twilight! And from what I have seen, many people are just as addicted as them!
So, while I lay in bed and recover from my recent surgery, I thought I would see what all the buzz is about. I'm not too much of a reader, as I am always on the go, and can't find the time to just sit and read. But now that I am forced into it, what the hell!
So I am on the first book, Twilight, and so far, so good. It really is a book that catches your interest and makes you want to keep reading!
If anyone else is reading it, I would love to hear your thoughts!
I went to the advanced screening of Hancock last night with my daughter. We had so much fun! We laughed so much! The movie was amazing! When I saw the previews, I was hesitant on whether or not it was a movie I would go see. But when the concert I won from Stick, got cancelled, Ashley in promotions gave me tickets to last nights screening, because she felt bad.
I have never been to a screening. Quite the big deal. It was fun. The movie made me laugh, and cry. Will Smith, as always, was amazing. The entire cast was great. I will definately go see this movie again. At so many times during the movie, my daughter and I were in such laughter...it was great!
What a bummer! I went today to pic up my tickets to the Mario Concert that was to be Wednesday, July 3rd, only to find out that it has been cancelled! Urghhhhh! But the girls at the station were super sweet and felt really bad! I guess these things happen.
But above all, I was still Stick's listener of the day! lol! Thanks Stick... you're the man!
Ok.. So I won Stick's Listener of The Day... YAY! I am so happy. I hardly ever win anything. So now, I just have to find a date!!! And then it is out shopping for a new outfit...(I don't really need a reason to go shopping, but anything helps)!
On Saturday night, I went to Antiqua's for the first time. I have lived in Orlando for 3 years, but never went downtown. Some of my friends finally convinced me to go, and it was awesome. I had so much fun. I don't remember the last time I didn't get home until after 4:oo am! It was great! I am so glad to finally be making some friends here and I can't wait to go out again!
My heart aches for all of those in Brevard and Volusia Counties that are suffering from these wildfires. It is heartaching to know that someone deliberately set these fires and ruined so many lives.
I did not live in Florida during the 1998 fires, nor the 2004 hurricanes. I have seen the devastation in pictures and heard through stories. I can not imagine having to go through what most central floridians have had to encounter.
My thoughts and prayers are with the homeowners, neighbors, family, friends, firefighters, police, and anyone that is affected by this devastation.
We just got new gutters which helped the flooding I was getting the worst of it here is my neighbors fence fell down and the Day care's sign blew away. I have a fairly new roof so so far so good. I'm just worried about my dad he lives on the ormand beach, Flagler border he is the one who is really getting pounded.
keeping my fingers and toes crossed for good weather. I didn't realize it was such a long recovery I thought with new procedures it would have cut the time in half. Keep on feeling better and enjoy the weekend.
We had a blast, bummed that every fish we caught was to small to bring home but we got to watch them bring a 800 lb Shark to the boat and Mike caught an octopus which was exciting. I wanted to touch it and had everyone laughing when I freaked out when it attached it's suckers on my arm. Very creepy feeling. I would recommend everyone to experience going out on a party boat at least once.
That's cool, I've always got a million things going on so when I try to see a movie in the theater I usually fall asleep. I'm such a loser that way I try to wait for dvd's so I can watch some of it take a nap and watch some more till I get thru it. If I sit to long doing only 1 thing it makes me tired, Iv'e gotta do 10 things at once to stay awake.
Did you fave fun seeing Hancock? Those blowfish are everywhere and Ive caught my share of them they are a weired little fish, funny how they puff themselves up.
Congrats on winning Stick on the Radio's "Listener of the Day" for 6/19! (Check out his page!) You've won a pair of tickets to see Mario and Colby O'Donis @ HOB on 7/2! Please call 407-916-7800 before the day of the show and ask for Ashley for more info on how to claim your prize!
BTW, I hope your roof stayed put and the leaks are minimal it doesn't look like it's gonna let up today. Stay safe.
