Sex and the Reality: How the airbrush helped the camera lie about ageing SJP, Kim, Kristin and Cynthia

In the pre-release pictures to the much anticipated Sex And The City movie, it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker and co haven't aged a day since they last dazzled us with their antics.

 However at the film's world premiere in London last night, it was clear of the power of the airbrush in ridding the actresses of any signs of ageing.

While Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis brought their Manhattan glamour to the capital, there was no denying that the stars are not as wrinkle-free as in their publicity stills.

Admittedly it has been 10 years since the quartet first graced our TV screens.

Nixon is 42, Parker and Davis both 43, and Cattrall is the oldest of the quartet at 51.

The £30 million movie follows on four years after the cult television show - which began in 1998 and ended production in February 2004.

But although their faces may have matured the girls showed they are as fashion forward as ever.

Parker wore a Philip Treacy fascinator hat covered in flowers and butterflies, with a green Alexander McQueen strapless gown and black shoes from the same designer.

Cattrall adopted character Samantha's sexy look in a red Vivienne Westwood dress, while Davis also shone in red - choosing a vintage gown.

And Nixon shed her character Miranda's uptight lawyer look for a plunging midnight blue Calvin Klein dress.

All four wowed the massed fans, with Parker's arrival on the red carpet prompting near hysteria in Leicester Square.

Jennifer Aniston is enjoying the single life. She and John Mayer were busy engaging in some PDA when they relaxed poolside at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami, People.com reports. Aniston is also busy wrapping up the filming of her new flick, "Marley & Me" with Owen Wilson, but had enough time to eat, chat and smooch with Mayer. The high-profile couple then attended the Miami Wrap Party at Nikki Coconut Grove, where they kissed and danced throughout the evening.

Hulk Hogan's son jailed for eight months after car accident leaves friend in 'vegetative state'

Wrestler Hulk Hogan's teenage son Nick Bollea was sentenced to eight months in prison after causing a car crash which left his best friend in a vegetative state.

 Nick, 17, pleaded no contest to charges of felony reckless driving stemming from a August 2007 accident in Clearwater, Florida.

 The teenager was speeding in his yellow Toyoya Supra with his friend John Graziano, 22, in the passenger seat when the vehicle careered off the highway and hit a palm tree.

 Nick was admitted to hospital with minor injuries, while John suffered a broken skull and other severe injuries.

Former U.S. Marine John was not wearing a seatbelt prior to the crash and will likely need a lifetime of full-time medical care.

 In a Clearwater court on Friday, Nick was sentenced to eight months in prison, as well as five years probation, 500 hours community service and ordered to surrender his driving privileges for three years.

 Nick was supported in court by his father Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea), his estranged wife Linda and daughter Brooke, 20, who all testified during the trial.

 Speaking in court, Nick said: "I would like to apologise to the Grazianos and to my family for the accident. Every single day I think about the accident and about John.

 "I will never ever be able to say I'm sorry enough."

 During sentencing, Judge Philip Federico said: "I think there is an understanding of what happened, and there is a sense of acceptance of responsibility.

Arrest: Nick Bollea was arrested in November - three months after the crash

 "There is nothing that the court can impose that is close to what John has dealt with or will have to deal with as he moves forward."

Following Nick's sentencing, his lawyers released a statement saying the teenager was committed to raising money for his friend's medical treatment.

A statement from Kevin Hayslett and Sandy Weinberg Jr reads: "During his probation Nick will continue his community service work with the National Wave and Freedom Group where he raises money for the J&J fund to support the recovery efforts of John Graziano as well as John Paul Fillipi who was also injured in a car accident last year."

 John's family asked the court to jail Nick for up to a year, well below the five year sentence he could have received.
